On Saturday, April 9, 2016, a Connecticut “Meadows and Grasslands” Seminar will be held at 10 a.m. at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library located at 25 Main St in Newtown, Connecticut.

The educational workshop will feature  Leslie Kane, Center Director of Audubon Bent of River in Southbury, and Peter Picone, Wildlife Biologist at the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).  These experts will discuss meadow and grassland habitat, conservation management, and wildlife.  A question and answer period will follow each presentation.

The event is co-sponsored by the Newtown Forest Association (NFA) and is FREE to the public.
