Thanks to Nora Mitchell and to all who attended the November 5thm 2016 seminar on “Climate Change’s Effects on Plants” at 10 a.m. at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, Newtown, Connecticut.

Organized by CPC, this free seminar was sponsored by the Cyrenius H. Booth Library and Newtown’s Town & Country Garden Club.  Featuring the research of Nora Mitchell, Ph.D. candidate at the University of Connecticut, the seminar covered climate change’s impact on plants.  Ms. Mitchell also shared her research on South Africa’s King Protea, a magnificent flowering plant from one of the oldest plant families on Earth.
